California girl weds Tennessee boy at our Tulip Grove Mansion in November of 2018. Torie embraced a Southern wedding theme—from the biscuit bar right down to the handmade jelly favors. Fully planned by our team, we had a blast with this wedding and are convinced Torie & Nick deserve their own TV show. With a stunning color palette of lavender and white, eucalyptus lined farm tables and gold accents scattered throughout the Greek revival-style mansion.
Their ceremony took place on the front steps of the historic Tulip Grove Mansion, the home built for President Jackson’s nephew, Andrew Jackson Donelson, and his wife, Emily, in 1836. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the backyard of the mansion while the couple took golden hour photos all over the property. When they returned, they were serenaded into their first dance under beautiful string lights. It was a very chilly Tennessee night, so the party was moved inside the mansion. Best Man and Maid of Honor did their speeches from the spiral staircase, and the cake was cut right below. We doubt this mansion has ever seen a dance party quite like this one! Even as the staff, we had a blast. It was truly a Southern night to remember, and we wish Torie and Nick all the happiness in the world!
