What started with a dating app message and a first date at a Mexican food restaurant turned into quite the affair last October, when Lindsey and Jay tied the knot here at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage!
This dreary January day has us dreaming back to June, when Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage hosted the gorgeous wedding of Courtney & Joe. These colorful summer florals brightened up our Cabin by the Spring and were one of our favorite centerpieces of the year! Including fresh cut citrus fruit and eucalyptus, this creative addition made us want to plan a summer soiree of our own.
This week we’re thinking back to October 2018 which brought all the whimsy, vintage, and natural tones you could imagine with Annmarie and Taylor’s dreamy indoor/outdoor ceremony and reception.
Savannah and Conner tied the knot at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage on May 5, 2018. Their ceremony took place in The Church with a reception to follow at the Tulip Grove Mansion. The cocktail hour took place inside the mansion and spilled into the back yard, which held a large tent for dinner and dancing. The simple and minimalist decor wowed guests with mostly neutral tones, letting the gorgeous historic venue speak for itself. Macaroons instead of wedding cake is a popular trend we have seen on the rise at weddings this year, and it was certainly a hit with the guests.
Hannah and Wes' winter wedding dreams came true on December 30, 2017 at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. Their ceremony took place in the Hermitage Church, in front of a wooden cross, handmade for the couple by the groom's father. Stunning florals and dramatic candelabras filled the historic church as the couple said "I do." The reception was to follow at the Cabin by the Spring. The couple played off the proximity to New Year's Eve with sparkles and gold accents to accompany the gorgeous blush details. Every table was stunning!
On a chilly spring day in April, Rachel & Foster gathered with their friends and family to celebrate their marriage at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. Their ceremony took place under the large tree outside the Cabin by the Spring, with a cocktail hour and reception to follow.
Amber & Cody got married on a gorgeous December day here at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. The weather could not have been more beautiful, or a bride more deserving of the perfect day! It is impossible to pick just a few photos from this one. Their ceremony took place in The Hermitage Church with a reception following in the Cabin by the Spring.
On February 10, 2018 Andrew Jackson's Hermitage hosted the wedding of Hannah and Tyne in the Cabin by the Spring. A little rain did not stop this happy couple, their love for each other was written all over their faces.
Andrew Jackson's Hermitage hosted the wedding of Emily and Josh on October 7, 2017. Their outdoor ceremony was held under the large tree outside the Cabin by the Spring, and was followed by their reception in the Cabin by the Spring. Friends and family from all over gathered to celebrate the couple. We loved getting to know the families of the bride and groom, and we truly enjoyed being a part of their big day.
Andrew Jackson's Hermitage hosted the wedding of Jenna and Greg in the Cabin by the Spring on October 15, 2017. The couple was exuding love for one another. The entire day was centered around their love for family and friends, making the celebration one for the books.
On the morning of September 17th, Hannah and Luke were faced with a forecast of rain for their wedding day. However, this beautiful couple did not let a little sprinkle get in the way of their perfect day. The bride and groom embraced the day with the biggest smiles and their love for each other shined bright enough to clear away the clouds just in time for their ceremony.
Early visitors to The Hermitage, as well as Andrew Jackson’s letters, note Rachel’s fondness and special interest for the garden. This one-acre garden adjacent to The Hermitage was designed in the 19th century and served as a favorite spot for both Andrew and Rachel Jackson. Today, its beauty has only continued to blossom as it hosts many wedding ceremonies and receptions throughout the season.
